One thought-of word. One impossible letter. An entire grid revealed. Originally created in 2012 by Yoan Tanuji & Stéphane Guekko and popularized by David Stone, DAVID STONE WORDS is finally back! Forget traditional book tests. Instead of a novel or dictionary, your spectator is handed something completely different and instantly familiar: a word-search magazine. Inside the hands of a mentalist, however, it becomes an incredibly powerful multi-phase mind-reading tool capable of revealing far more than just a single thought-of word.
THE EFFECT: Hand the word-search magazine to your spectator. They open it to any page, look at the grid and freely think of one of the words they see. Nothing is said out loud. They simply concentrate on their word. You look at them for a few seconds... And reveal the exact word they are thinking of. Clean. Direct. Impossible. But that's only the beginning. You can repeat the experiment with different pages, different grids and different words, allowing you to turn DAVID STONE WORDS into a complete mind-reading sequence rather than a single revelation. Then you can take it even further. Imagine revealing the exact letter located immediately after their chosen word inside the grid. And for the finale... Your spectator selects one of the 100 different word-search grids. You pick up a pen and start writing. At incredible speed, you reproduce their entire word-search grid right in front of the audience. What began as simple mind reading suddenly becomes an impossible demonstration of memory and mental ability.
